County Durham Care Academy The County Durham Care Academy is here to support the development of a well-led, skilled and valued adult social care workforce in County Durham.  They  offer a range of courses from entry level right through to senior leadership and management qualifications and also support local providers to access training delivered by our local partners. Care Providers that use the Health Call app which can access clinical training through County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust’s Telehealth Team.  This training includes soft signs, the regional ‘Is my resident unwell tool?’, taking observations and using the Health Call app.. North Tees and Hartlepool Education Alliance Provides wide range of training sessions on ‘recognising deterioration’ which includes the “Is My Resident Unwell?” tool to our care home staff (Awaiting further details and website link). Contact details to follow.
Academy for Care and Education

Academy for Care and Education, is a not for profit company, who’s key aim is to improve care by working to upskill care staff around digital technology. They  have worked across England with multiple CCGs, embedding digital solutions to managing deterioration, by raising awareness of early physical signs of illness, supporting staff to record NEWS2 scores and implementing the communication tool SBARD.

They supported the development of “Is My Resident Unwell?” tool and have helped embed this  in social care settings.
